Are Canadians obsessed with Real Estate? According to many online surveys, the answer would be yes! This data comes from an online survey conducted by a home selling firm, Zoocasa. This survey polled about 1,000 Canadians between June 3rd and June 6th, 2013. The data that came back was an interesting find, 84% of Canadians said they think about Real Estate on a regular basis and 85% have admitted to shopping online for a new home in the past year.
Further to this, approximately 34% said either they had an obsession or someone close to them had an obsession with real estate. When they segregated Toronto (GTA) specifically, about 47% of Torontonians admitted to being obsessed. This is no wonder given the fact that Toronto has one of the highest average home prices in Canada, coming in second to Vancouver. At least 28% of survey takers said they had attained an open house in the last 12 months in Canada.
This data collected is not surprising in the least that Canadians would, in fact, be obsessed with real estate. Their home purchase is the biggest investment they will make in their lifetime and it is good to stay up to date with news and changes to this industry. If you do not keep up with trends in real estate, you could be missing out on savings in your pocket. That is why it is best to work with the professionals in this industry such as mortgage broker and a realtor.
